Agent

One who represents or has the authority to act on behalf of another (called the principal). The authorization can be expressed, implicit, or obvious. When a property owner, as the principle, executes a listing agreement or management contract authorizing a licensed real estate broker to operate as her or his agent, a fiduciary relationship is formed under agency law.
